I received my bachelor's degree in Education from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and began my career teaching middle school social studies in Upper Arlington, Ohio. After moving to Virginia in 1992, I taught preschool part time at St. Matthew's Day School in Lakeridge, then began to work on my masters degree in library science at James Madison University in Harrisonburg. I began my career as a library media specialist during Parkside Elementary's final year and then opened the library here at Signal Hill. I'm delighted to be a school librarian and to have the chance every day to share an enthusiasm and love of great books with our students. This is the best job, EVER!
